Racetech mirror.
Has anyone got one of these center mirrors fitted, if so would you be kind enough to measure the length of the stem pleeeeeaaaase.

Also forgot to ask, but does the stem detach from the mirror , the reason for asking is i want to fit one through my new deflector.

you can detach the stem yes, these mirrors are not SVA friendly I had to glue rubber around the edge due to radius requirements, another downside is
that the mirror is not glass and can lead to distortion I have glued another mirror to the front of mine,. 2 out of 2 of these mirrors that I have
seen have had distortion 1 of them was brand new

I imagine it's for racing and therefore weight is a factor, more so than being able to see the guy behind you picking his nose. You know
it's just for seeing what's behind you but not necessarily in great detail

It's not really for racing, but as you have already said , it's just for seeing if there is someone behind and it does not need to be SVA
friendly, it is being fitted to a BEC and distortion will happen anyway.
