kit car drifting
as above, how hard is this to achive in a kit car compared to a skyline etc?
I have a zx9 powered so i am talking about a bec?

they do a drift day at silverstone using caterhams
i went with a mate who did it looked like fun!
or go out for a ride with steve hignett in the wet that looked like fun
(sorry steve  )

You'll need an LSD and ordinary road tyres (will be much harder on R888s etc)

Yeah, I did the Caterham drift day and certainly got big drifts and transitions going!

Or just do what everyone else does and lock up / weld, an existing diff.

I went on the caterham day at silverstone, 2 actually i loved it so much.
I also went on a drift trackday at oulton park (inner circuit, special slippery surface) in the MNR ZX14 and that drifted lovely.
Make sure you get your car corner weighted otherwise its pretty difficult.
I let my friend (a grass track racer) drive the MNR on the road (888 tyres) he drifted it all the way round a large roundabout at about 60mph, scared
the crap out of me but it is possible when you have the skill.
I'm in practice, using large wide round abouts

my kit does have a LSD and the tyres are toko s drives so they are high performance but dont have the grip level of a R888, i think i will get
practicing the art of drifting..............

i have only used mine with R888's and can drift around car parks and do nut it all day long, even figure of eights.
I would say that high speed drifts would be harder but not impossible.
