Bit of progress
Been a frustrating few months trying to finish off bits on the Indy. Missed the summer so now its dark evenings in the garage again and its p1ssing it
down of course.
Anyway, managed to finish my dash off. Some pics below. Is it perfect.....nope :-) but its as good as I can do at present. Decided to put the Koso
behind the wheel as couldn't face having the rev counter out in the centre of the dash so there were one or two compromises. Overall am pretty
happy with it. Comments welcome as usual. ;-) The rest of the car isn't quite finished yet so plenty to do and yes the garage is untidy !!

While I was at it I made an aluminium airbox as well as the Pipercross I had was knackered and bloody loud. No welding involved just rivet and
araldite and a lot of silicon sealant plus copious hammering and bending. Bit of cursing as well of course!

Dash is MK's own carbon dash. The clocks are Swoosh Smoky gauges. There are loads of different types and colours. They light up when powered on
and are dark when off. Do a search on eBay there are loads of suppliers. I didn't use these...just as an example.

One thing I did mean to ask.
My dash was incredibly flexible so when bolted up pressing a button particularly the hazard button on the angled bottom part made the whole thing bend
inwards and it was almost impossible to get the button to latch.
I ended up making two stays from the bottom section back to the sides of the tunnel under the dash to support it.
Is this the norm or did I get a particularly thin dash?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Flexible means light! You could stick a batten of some sort on the back to help with the stiffness.
Your airbox and the silicon is a bad idea if you have a lamda sensor on your car. The silicon blocks the sensor, and will kill it after not too long
(remember the contaminated fuel issue a couple of years back). Otherwise looks good. I have a very similar setup - Koso, behind the wheel on a carbon
dash. Good choice sir!

No lambda as it a carb'd zx9 and the silicon is on the outside or sandwiched between joints so unlikely to enter the fuel system but I
understand the concern.
Dash is certainly light!
Cheers for the comments.
