any heating engineers on here
Help my waste oil boiler has a sort of insulating type thingy that is now in a sorry state and i need some more
i can only describe it as like 1 inch thick heatsheild approx 2 foot sq and it goes in the boiler back plate to keep heat in boiler ad its very
brittle as i found out today
any ideas as to what its called and where i can get any from (north Yorks area)

Google Refractory Board, that should find what you need.
I've got a peice in the workshop, can't for the life of me remember the brand name....

Soft fire brick, it's used for insulation in kilns and forges so there should be lots of places round Yorkshire supplying it.
Yorkshire refractory might work.
