Best way to clean seatbelts?
My Sabelt harnesses have got really grubby over the winter, had to be trailered about a bit I suspect that's the main reason, what's the
best way to clean them without weakening them?

IIRC, the recommended way to clean belts is to wipe them with a cloth/sponge & mild soapy water (i.e. a solution of one of those mild
clothes-cleaning soap flakes).

Lay them out and presure wash them. Give them a soak in some vanish for a few hours. Havnt done this but its what I would try.

pressure wash them if you want them very clean-- i have done and they seem fine.
if your concerned about damaging them, i recall climbing rope having to be put in a bath of mild soapy water and left for the muck to come out.
its the same with NOMEX race overalls, i just bung them in the washer, im sure your not meant to cos the "residue" of the detergent
affects the fire resistance? its only 30 sec anyway!
IC
measure twice, cut once, scrap it, start again.
