Child Booster Seat for a Seven?

My little one is now big enough to use a booster seat so I want to fit one in the Tiger. The problem is that the seats (JK Composite) are narrower than most booster seats.

Does anyone know of a narrow make of booster seats or has anyone come up with a different idea?

Mark.

I have had (and still got) loads of booster seats.
I had some bucket seats in my old tin top and the only seats that would fit between the sides were the older style polysterene ones with a fabric cover. Pretty sure they were from Aldi or Lidl from many years back.
None of the more modern plastic moulded ones come close. Infact they are a struggle to get in a normal car seat.

So if I were you, try the car boor sales for the polystyrene type.

I couldn't find anything to fit and decided it was safer to wait until they were big enough to go in without one.

Cheers for the replies so far guys - with the bubble bum, did you just not inflate it fully so that it fitted into the hole in the seat as fully inflated it would probably be to wide?

no, mine is inflated fully. It is slimmer than others as it does not have any arms/lips at the side.

if you can wait a day or two I can measure?

Yep, that would be great if you don't mind. If that works at least we could use it in other cars. If not, the one on ebay could be cut to shape.

I got a polystyrene one and trimmed the edges so that it fits snugley (if a word!) in the seat, my 4 year old has now been out a few times with me (only on gentle local drives and he loves it)

This was under a tenner from Makro. Unzipped the cover to shave a few mm off the polystyrene base and job done.

I got a expanded polystyrene one from ebay for about £5. I had to hotwire trim it a bit to fit into my seats, but it works well. You can just see a bit of it (yellow) here :-

Excellent, thanks for the picture.

Looks like that's the best/easiest way to go.
