Handbrake sharp edges

I seem to remember reading here that the handbrake constituted sharp edges for SVA, even though it was under the gaiter.

What has everyone done to get around the problem? If there is a problem! Rescued attachment Handbrake.JPG

Gaiter should be o.k.

I made one that covered everything but the handle and screwed it to the tunnel top. If it's between the seats it's out of the way anyway. I've heard of people failing with the handbrake mounted on the tunnel side but not on the top.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

wimp

bought me own sewing machine (2 quid on ebay) and did it meself. Inc a nice black handbrake and gear stick gaiter.

Pic shows door panel (cos I have doors!) rear bulkhead panel (behind seats - hole is for boot release) and tunnel cover with gaiters.

ps - the majority of the interior is black - its just these bits show the only red used in the car, in case you think it looks a bit 'technicolour'.

the pattern is based on something I saw in the coventry museum of road transport, on a pre jaguar 'swallow ss1' car. I liked the sunset effect. This is a retro style car, so I though id give it a go. CLearly out of place on a std locost tho!

sorry lost track of the thread topic for a moment there.

I have heard of folks failing for radii under the gear lever gaiter and the handbrake gaiter, would be best to address the problem if at all possible rather than fail on something you 'wern't sure about'

They reach Cornwall each year on the backs of the August holidaymakers.
