Club trackday invite, Oulton Park Nov 2nd
Just a quick heads up that we are running another Trackaction-Online club trackday at Oulton Park on Friday Nov 2nd.
This is a regular event we've been running for five years now and 90% of our entries come from our forum and other club groups so it’s always a
friendly day out, free tuition will be available from our ARDS instructors and obviously we’ll be running open pitlane.
Cost is £130 per car/driver, bookings can be made at
OUR SHOP, we
can also do deals for groups of 5+
Please post up on here with any questions or to sort group bookings.
Hope it’s still OK to put this up on here and that a few of you will be able to make it along.

Hi Joe,
If we have to refund then there is a surcharge depending on how close to the day it's canceled, our normal conditions are
HERE. We've had people try to cancel the night before
because it's been raining but the circuit costs us the same amount to hire either way so it has to be done this way I'm afraid.
The alternative that we can often sort is that if you can sell the place on or if we can put you in touch with someone that can buy it we'll be
happy to swap names over FOC.
Hope that seems fair

It's fine so long as you've got the right tyres on

That was a cracking day. Oulton puts the willys up me in the damp so I can't say I enjoyed the first session but the rest of the day was great.
Maybe a few too many red flags but that wasn't unexpected. 5 whole min's from the track opening to the first off at Druids
Is it my magination or are there a lot more cars running slicks these days? Makes it very hard to keep up without shredding the tyres... mine are now
shredded.
Sorry Pete, I didn't see your post on here, so didn't make the connection to come and say hello when I saw your car .
Big thanks to Steve and Phil.

My last session before lunch, having a few laps of fun with a Megabusa. I followed him for a couple of laps before he let me lead, then we swapped
around again at the end. It was still damp in places, hence the caution in Druids...

Sorry about the poor view/angle; Unfortunately I forgot about the "no suction mounts" rule and had to jury rig a mount from my sat
nav' bracket.

I love that circuit; venue of my best motoring day to date. (2:08.43 is the only Locost racing lap time I remember.)

Yup, it's "the" damp Druids accident. I think he was a tad early on the throttle.

I'd got Druids nailed in the aftenoon... well, enough to be skipping the rear wheels on the exit bump. Unfortunately the camera had slipped a
bit and the wipers weren't parked right at the bottom of the screen so it's mostly just a view of the w/blade on the video.
Tim, first read of your post I though 02.08.48 was the date...

Saw your car in the paddock, but you weren't around when I was ... maybe next time.
A really good day - and another dry / sunny Trackaction November event!
The track was 'interesting' in the morning - I'm a wimp, so I delayed going out for the first hour! Waiting till the marshals had
tired of waving the red flags for a bit! The bits of the track in the shade stayed quite slippy up until lunch-time - notably the second half of
Druids, (as per the Westy video) After it dried up, a really good session.
Unlike the drive back to Blackpool through Friday rush-hour traffic up the M6. In the dark. In the rain. But surprisingly cosy with the roof on, and a
couple of towels wedged strategically into the gaps round the doors!
