Noisy Facet fuel pump

Are the electro magnetic fuel pumps noisy? Mine makes a loud tapping noise, but seems to supply fuel OK.

Yup, very noisy,

luckily having a deafening exhaust right next to my other ear helps drown it out

its pretty normal and they make more noise when they dont have fuel flowing through them. i use mine as an indication that the tank is getting low going round corners.

Mine gets noisy when the filter gets blocked as well, I take it off and tap out any debris. It's punishment for making my own tank

Mine broke down a few weeks ago due to a blocked prefilter. Have now replaced it with a straight union and a replaceable in line filter that will be replaced often. Even with a new filter the pumps are noisy
