I've used one of these micro heaters in my 7 very small, very well made and quite powerful
link
They do bigger ones too.

Wow that is a lovely little heater unit
I know it says 2.2kW but is that enough in an open top car?
What's your experience?

I installed it so I could add a screen later after IVA, but it does pack quite a punch, I would think it will be fine once weather gear is on, 2.2 kw
is a lot of heat in a small space.
But to be fair it's tiny and light weight, I am very impressed with it.

silly question but I take it that the air comes out of the black duct? I'm thinking I could mount that infront of my landys heater matrix box to
replace the crap standard fan and give it two heater matrix's to heat the air. Is the fan quite powerful??

The air comes out of the cone shaped duct, the fan is basically a PC cooling fan so does shift the air

I was originally going to go for that one but decided on size rather than capacity
