Steel Flat Packs

Hi Guys

Who's best to buy the steel pre cut from for the haynes chassis, I have emailed two people who allegdley supply from recomendations on here and neither has come back to me My young 'un is bugging me now to get the steels ordered and start welding!

Any help appreciated, worst case I'll have to buy in 3 metre lengths and cut myself

Cheers

Rich

There must be plenty of steel merchants in the midlands? I would think you could probably get most of the shorter pieces as offcuts then just buy the long bits

But then I am a skin-flint

Yes but theres a lot to be said for pre-cut.
That's how I'd buy it for my next one, I dont see any pleasure in hacksawing

I went for 3 metre lengths of steel, I didn't like the idea of only having the fixed amount of steel if anything needed to be replaced or improved on. It also cost a quarter of a pre-cut kit.

Camp Steel in Birmingham is the place to go.

Equinox will be doing flat packs shortly. Just trying to get hold of Dave to find out if they are ready or not.

As above, camp steel are the best place to go and their "off cuts" are rather long!
