Intatrim seats

Has anyone used either the Intatrim Odyssey or Ranger seats in an MK Indy or similar?

If so what's your opinion on cost/comfort/quality etc.

Cheers

Nick

I used the Intatrim Magellan (I think that's what they are called)

They are a snug fit in the indy but plenty of room for my ample girth!

Bum aches after an hour or so as they don't have a lot of padding but for the price I am happy to recommend them.

One minor point, when going through sva, the tester wouldn't accept the harnesses going through the holes in the seats as there was no certification that the seat was strong enough to take the loadings in an accident. I threaded the belts around the side!

HTH

Thanks Mark,

The ones I'm looking at don't have harness holes, so the harnesses will just go around them. I had a sit in them at a show, but it's difficult to judge how they'd be on the road.

Jasper has intatrim odysey's in his locost, pics in his archive. I looked at these as they are much lighter than the cobra 7's and i prefered the look. only downside is they aren't cheap and although they are available with harness holes don't look very good with them. i eventually went for figreglass seats.

I had some rangers in my old westfield se...

I'm 6'2" and I found them very comfortable. I don't know how old mine were as they were in the car when I bought it but they didn't seam to have deteriorated at all.

The harness holes are an optional extra,
I got them put in cos the magellans are wider than the rangers etc and some of my passengers are on the small side (10 yr old daughter) and would have struggled with the belts coming around the sides.

Shouldn't be an issue with the ones you are interested in

I have got the intatrim odysey's in my book built locost, with the runners (short girlfriend!) very nice, been to Le mans in them with no probs, I managed to get mine off Ebay, brand new for £130, Intatrim did get the money out of me in the end, had a hood custom made and side screens covered for a neat sum of a little over £500, BUT...........VERY GOOD all-round. Recommened
