Two harness straps into one rear harness point
Hello All, after some advice can I connect 2 rear seat belt straps into one harness mounting bolt that is welded onto the chassis (Westfield SE) or is
this a no, no, or should I weld another mounting point this will mean removing the existing one and welding 2 new points. Car to be predominately used
for track days and may be sprinting.
Thanks for looking

Three point harnesses are allowed for road use. However, if you use on track with an MSA licence you cant use 3 points and will need 4. So go ahead
and weld another mounting point on. You will probably be ok for track days.....

One solution is to fabricate a mounting plate with two slots - one for each belt and one hole for the mounting bolt.
Make sure to radius all corners touching the belts or make gromments with rubber hose.
