Who else supplies bodywork that will fit a book chassis besides GTS?

I placed an order earlier this year for pretty much all my part with GTS for what i considered a large amount of money (£2500).
Some of which i have received and have been of excellent quality.
However i am getting more and more fed up with trying to get hold of Darren and im not sure that i will get the balance of the parts in what i would
consider a resonable time frame.
Therefore im looking at other options and considering asking for a refund.

I will be doing a bodywork kit in about a month or so. Wide arch stuff.
You can email me at emsfactory@yahoo.co.uk.
I think i'm going to have to register as a trader.

What is it with us Brits, that we are prepared to pay for stuff before we get it?
Fair enough, 10% deposit, but any more is taking the p1$$.
OK, if it's a purpose built one off, that's a little different,
even then I don't think we should pay it all up front.
I think we're taken for a ride.
Sorry, rant over.

Agreed - deposit up front is fair, and the normal way of doing things (Fisher and many others do work this way) but the smaller
"manufacturers" don't seem to have the capital

Quite agree with you. I run my own business & most of my clients expect & take at least 30 days credit, some much longer (as I do with my
suppliers). If I asked for payment up front or even 10%, I'd be bust in a couple of months for the simple reason everyone would go elsewhere.
Some kit car suppliers really do take liberty's, they get full payment up front & then provide a really crap service.

I've been had as well Gav.
In my case it was a bathroom suit from Homebase.
Yes Sir, No Sir, Three bags full Sir, Sign here Sir, Pass us your credit card Sir.
Then they tell you it's a ten week delivery.
I waited three weeks then went in every few days to ask about delivery,
always at a busy time, people everywhere.
Got it in five.
You shouldn't have to do that though.

As long as they tell you, it's OK
If they say at the start 10 weeks, and you get it in ten weeks, no prob.
But I still think you should only have to pay a deposit, remainder when it arrives.

And we overseas folk thought Darren was only in business to look after the interests of the local fraternity. I put done Gbp330 up front for a small
order (in relative buying power terms it translates to UK folk laying out 700 pounds). It's over one year now, I received a part -filled order.
The stuff missing (eye tubes etc) renders the polybush set useless and I have to change direction, as I have given up on him. No amount of chasing
gets him to do anything. At present I am out of pocket about Gbp110 and no interest from Darren to reconcile the account or return money - silence at
every turn
Also the quality issue? - pretty poor actually. The upper bone eyes are not parallel, so I have to toss them. The hub plates are not drilled - the
only reason to order rather than make. Stay away!! is the best recommendation I can make. In ebay terms, I don't buy from anyone below 96%
rating - wonder what Darren would be id he were rated?
