I'd rather bolt the seat to brackets than onto an ally floor as it can crack without warning
Eye bolts from Merlin Motorsport, £1.45 each plus VAT.
May be cheaper elswhere (rallydesign?)

In answer to the first, unless your seats are smaller than Cobra 7's, Neither before the SVA!
With runners installed there's height and seatbelt angle Issues so there better off bolted to the floor.

And for the 2nd I thought they came with the Harnesses, or Try Merlin Motorsport etc.

I thought you could blu-tac your seats in as long as the seat belt mounts are strong.
Mr SVA never even looked at my seat mounts.

i've got an Mk indy and it has two steel 3mm bars on the floor per side to fit the seats to.

i would have thought that if you just bolted the seat to the ally floor that would be an SVA fail unless you had some extra plating to spread the loads????

what do the others think?

seen several sva passed cars with ally floors and seats bolted through with large penny washers as the only load spreaders.

If i were you i would bolt the seats directly to the steel seat supports that run accross the floor in the Indy. You can fir the runners after SVA as the height between the bottom of the seat and the top harness mount is critical.

Even if he didn't the MOT tester will ---- MOT tester has to be satisfied the seats are properly secure, long standing MOT rule because it affects your control of the vehicle.

If the seats are MK fibreglass ones, you can fasten them to the floor with runners on and still be OK for SVA.
