MX5 car seats in a Viento

Ummm!

Bought a pair of MX5 front car seats off ebay last weekend ( very cheap ) and they are due to arrive tomorrow.

They will fit my viento width wise but I suspect that I will need to lower the runners on them some how. Possibly cut the fixings underneath the seat and attach a lower profile runner..

Anyone tried doing anything like this?

What would be a good runner to use?

I have obtained some Lotus seats for my Viento, they are very low to the floor with their original runners and fit with room to spare. Cannot give you any pics as they are being recovered @ moment (black leather and Luego orange Alcantara)

I'm using lotus elise seats in my MK indy. They fit width wise and look good. Also due to the shape of the head rest, the harnesses work well.
I only have adjustment on the drivers seat, and will be making a fixed bracket for the passenger seat - they don't need adjustment!!
