panelling query

if the side panel is supposed to cover the rear corner panel, how do i get rid of this gap between all the panels, i dont think that a rivet will fit
through them all and the chassis rail
and what do i do about the hole where the trailing arm bolt comes through? i dont want water coming in if it rains
