I don't think seats need to be e marked. I don't have my copy of the SVA manual to hand, but some people make their own seats, and get through, so they would have e marks

As humbug says it doesn't seem to be a requirement for UK SVA. Guess you have two options open if you need an e mark or equivalent.

1. Use a production car seat - Lotus Elise has some nice narrow seats that may fit.

2. Use a seat marked as FIA approved. If it's good enough for motorsport it should be arguable that it's more than good enough for the road. Many of the cobra seats are FIA approved and cobra should be able to provide a letter confirming the FIA status of the seat you have.

I'd guess that would be 'cashy' who you bought them off.

http://www.cobraseats.com/ have a page where you can ask them questions, sure you wouldn't be the first to ask them.

a harness does not pass? i cannot believe that! so they make me put a dodgy three point seat belt (in a car which arguably resembles a sardine can) when a harness is more than proven to be far safer?! i refuse to accept that. i will most definitely put a harness on mine and if they complain, i shall argue 'till they accept.

i shall never surrender! i'll change spain's cynical and absurd law system one law at a time.
