Seat pads - how
Ive seen several people that have the fibreglass shell type seats with very nifty pads fitted. Have these been home made or are there kits
available?
Ive seen some that look like thin neoprene tyoe material that are stuck on and others that appear to be vinyl over foam and stuck on. My upholstery
skills are limited so wondering how people have made them. Also interested to hear what glues are used and how durable.
ive just covered the std seat base and back rest on mine, looks OK but not great.

No, 'fraid not Mark. Ill get flywheel back this week. Head and sump is on. Will fit sacrificial sump plate tonight and paint it up. Will refit
the ancils over next few days. Aim to get it back in next week if i manage to make the VR sensor bracket OK and paint up the covers etc.
This site is like the autotrader - you see something nice when browsing but no chance of finding again when you need pics!!!! Im trying to find pics
to illustrate what i mean by nifty seat pads.

Tillett, they of Kart seat fame, sell thin seat padding/lining. It's what I'll be doing with mine.

I did mine myself DW
Go to Millets and buy a camping bedding roll. Blue it to the seat bottom using a hot glue stick/gun and then trim. Then cover in PVC/leather/fablon
, stretch and glue as you go to avoid wrinkles - seat base done
Next - seat back
I did 2 diamonds (middle) and 2 triangles (shoulders) for each seat
cut newspaper to shape, lay on bedding roll, cut bedding roll to shape. then cover in leather/fablon/pvc and glue covering to padding in centre of
long sides. To make nice corners fold over point and glue and then fold back wings to conceal.
Then wait for glue to cool and then glue to seat backs with glue stick/hot glue gun
Voila - nicely trimmed seats and comfy too

i can supply these they are leather come without badgers.
easy slip in and out so you can clean or shke the stones out of your seat (we all get them)
makes the seat quite comfoprtable.

darren try contacting darren perks through mac1 or the owners club hes a trimmer and made his own seats so could probably give you all the help and
advise you need

you beat me to it i was going to post a piccy up of mine they are just trimmed/padded vinyl and glued to seat also they are really comfortable
considering there is not that much padding......also in my case IndyBirds would be good for shaking bits of hedgerow out!!!
