Harness Purchase?
Hi All,
Just wondering where is the best place to buy a set of harness's from and which ones? They will be for road use but wouldn't mind doing
sprint's later on in the car's life?
Also I was going to go for GTS Tuning for a wilwood brake setup, they seem the cheapest at £269?
Cheers
Ian

Sabelt @ MAC#1
As above, mine are (obviously) from MAC#1 and if you bought (just) the harnesses from them they would charge you no different to anyone else at £80
per pair, and they are a couple of great lads aswell...
cheers,
Steve.

I don't plan to skimp on harnesses. I'll probably use Willans or Takata 4 or 6-points. These type of cars wouldn't exactly be safe
in a crash as is, the last thing I would want is a harness failing.

I got mine from Mac#1 for £80 the pair excl P&P... The Europa price is £36 each which would be about £42 incl VAT but they are offering 10% off
until the end of February, so it looks like a good price

Called Demon Tweeks up today who said the nice looking race buckles will fail an MOT and the only ones that pass are the standard black with red
button style buckle.
Im sure ive heard different from people on here is it ?

Not true. The MOT man doesn't seem to care much about the buckles at all, mainly the sva man. Even he will pass some of them. They have to be
unlockable with one hand. It's the one's where you have to push a button AND turn the buckle that fail. It is, though, as ever up to the
sva man and his interpretation of the rules.

Depends on the fitment. If you want to use eye bolts on the rear, you need Westfield spec. If using normal bolts , Caterham ones fit the bill.
Both use standard bolts for the lap straps.
