I bought these seats plus pads from a seller on ebay. I think his username was redpip ? not sure.
His seats and pads are more expensive than most but I found the quality worth the extra.

Car is not built yet!!!!!!!!
Pads look like they may come off as only evostik, but they are vinyl and look tough.
Can easily re-attach if they do.

It looks rather like bedroll foam or neopreene. Is it that said material or something more exotic?

Its more likely to be Neophrene - similar stuff to wet suits ........... or kinky rubber gear (so I'm told )

As I said, it is vinyl covered foam, not wetsuit material.
It has a sort of plastic shiny surface but soft inside. The edges are seamed so foam is held inside.

I think you can buy similar pads for Kart seats from Tillot. Don't know about price comparisons though.
