Vaux 2.5 / 3.0 L V6?

anyone used teh above engine? thinking of possibly using one of the v6 engines (probs z series) as they arnt too heavy and have a good power output and are fairly cheap.

Any info on this would be appreciated, IE.....
1) Will it fit in an MK indy
2) what gearbox do i use?
3) any problems people can see or reasons not to do it / go cith c20xe / c20let instead?

Thanks

It will fit, search this forum! I have posted pics of a guy who fitted one to a westfield, think it was in Ireland.

I used to have a GSI vectra with a 2.5V6, I loved that engine. It delivered its power really nice and smooth in any gear.

I love the idea of a V6 in a locost but trying to fit everything in would drive me nuts.

How about the MV6 - 210bhp

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Not much point fitting the 2.5 with the 3.0 available. Great engine - have a 3 litre elite as me road car. Dunno where you get the idea it's not very heavy though (??). It's an iron blocked V6 with twin cam heads so will be up there with the ford 24V v6 i shuld imagine. Probably heavier than the cologne.

Ive got a omega mv6 as my doner. It will be used in a 442 chassis. As its an ex cop car it came with a lsd and a chipped ecu. Got to be good for 220 bhp !?! Dont like my chances of keeping the weight down tho.
