Mounting a Video Cam

Finally ordered my ATC2000 cam thingy from Firebox on Friday afternoon. And it arrived at the office this afternoon.

I haven't had chance to take it for a spin in the Indy yet, but tests so far indicate video quality is good and sound is OK.

Question is, how best to fix it to the car? It comes with a selection of rubber and velcro straps.

There is a mounting plate, which I could drill a few holes in, then fix to a clamp of some sorts.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks

Mike

I have the same model. It is good for fixed position filming but doesn't handle scanning very well.
I attach mine to the scuttle inside the screen which is OK but I keep meaning to try it attached to the underside of the rollbar.

The noise is not the best as it doesn't like the wind.

Still, for the money they are very good.

I've bolted a spare bracket to the side of the car - didn't fancy it velcro'd on!

This is where normally lives.

Picture quality is good and sound reasonable - just can't keep my head still!

Thanks Guys

Wyn, any chance you can re-post that pic for me, as I'm not a member of that site?

Cheers

Here's the picture but I don't think it'll help you much!

I'll take one of the car later!
