1.6SE exhaust manifold help.

I am thinking of fitting a 1.6Se Focus engine into a striker.

Does anyone out there know who makes an exhaust manifold to suit this engine.

Also does anyone know who makes the manifolds for Westfield as I see that they list one on their website.

I think you'll find that at £260 inc Vat Westfields is the cheapest off the shelf manifold. Shawspeed and Quantum also make them but you're looking at more like £4-500 (but that may well be for a full system if I recall). I'd imagine Tony Law and the other well known custom exhaust manufacturers will be able to make you one but they wont be cheaper than the Westfield price.

That's been the results of my investigations into the same thing anyway

Do you have a Type 9 bellhousing for this engine? If so could I ask where you bought it?

Hello ; I haven't bought a belhousing yet, although I’ll probably buy it from Shawspeed as I have already spoken to him about some other information an found him very helpful. (one good turn deserves another !)

SDW light fabrications tend to do the after market stuff for westy, so it might be worth giving them a ring on 01295 270710.
Or visit their website

i got my bellhousing from shawspeed, i agree jon is a star. my exhastt i had made up specially as i could not get one for a phoenixx. it cost about £400 from powerspeed in kent. i rate them very highly. I am about to send mine back to get it converted to 4-2-1 for a bit more midrange. mark ps the engine is truly amazing but do watch your baffling. the standard sump needs serious baffling for track days. we are in the process of making a flat baffled sump for this engine so watch this space.
