Chassis No Positions

I have my ali chassis No plate ready to pop rivet to the bulkhead in engine bay and a steel one ready to weld on somewhere.

Does it matter where the steel one is welded on?

Thought I'd fix this one on the driver's side floor somewhere.

No sva requirement for position as long as it can be read by tester.
I would recommend two though. One obvious and one hidden, in case your car gets nicked.

i rivetted an ali one on the bulkhead (engine bay side of scuttle panel) and the weld on steel one at the front of the chassis just above where the radiator sits.

i also then scribed / wrote the chassis number all over the place on chassis or hidden behind components to aid ID should the unthinkable happen.

The ali plate also has postcode on it.
