Which composite seats??
Right then...
I'm going to fit bare composite shell seats instead of the cobra roadsters to my luego velocity in an effort to lose some weight/gain some more
room.....can't really afford carbon fibre jobbies - what have you lot got and how much do you recommend them?
Cheers, Rich.

Have a look at the Kirkey ali seats - I know someone who used the and they were superb.
I have the MK seats, which are OK if you get them cheao enough - in hind sight, I would have gone elsewhere for the quality of the GRP.
I may put Kirkeys in yet though.

Rich - Lenny has MK seats which I greatly prefer to Lyn's Mac#1 seats and marginally prefer to Ed & Jon's high backed MNR seats.
The GTS ones look similar. Can't comment on Mr Tritons.
Get ones with captive bolts in the base of the seat.

Thanks Tim,
The only concern i have is the size of.....me! Seem to remember fitting in both Len and Lyn's seats ok though - must be slimmer than i thought
Hoping to gain an inch or two of legroom.....

Dudes,
We have 7 styles to make it harder to decide all but the wizard hat jobbies have bonded steel m8 inserts in the base/second skin. And all fit the
"book" chassis some even fit the doodah beginning with C
Pics in archive

Locost it.
Wriggle into a couple of shiny plastic bin bags, sit where you want to be, and get your pal to pour some foam into the gap.
Result? Perfect fit seats and a happy bunny.
Disadvantages - Don't get a pall with a trembly hand to pour the foam in 'cos it expands even more when it hits your hot sweaty skin, and
if you become a lardy you need a new seat.
Advantages - its a perfect fit, weight gain excepted, when I hurt my back it was the only comfortable place to be.
A wee skin of resin and woven sheet makes it last forever.

For road I have a pair of Cobra Cubs (in vinyl)
For track/race use, I have a pair of Tritons Wide Boys......
The finish is superb, edges nicely finished, and with a good flat bottom (ooeerr missus ) which made it easy to interchange the cobra cub seat
rails to the Wide Boys......but still surprisingly light....but 'solid'
Piccy before seat pads were made.....
Wide Boys 2
before anyone mentions it...
yes, the dog looks a bit skinny........and
yes, he does get fed.....

You can't see it in that shot, but on the wall, just to the right of the oil lamp, is another, a bit smaller, but of 'him' on his
bike in 'The Great Escape'.......which is...nice!

His last GP at Silverstone sticks in my head as I ran out with the rest after the race to take pics like you do...while phaffing with my camera I
never noticed this huge number 7 right in front of me so I got a really cool pic with a big cheesy grin...then one as he went past.
Saw him win at Donington in the classic race....stood out as only one hanging off the damn thing and he was Ill...!!
Get the book Steve Parish wrote...if you don't mind swearing it will make you feel sad and laugh at the same time...pair of nutters those 2..
