toe setting for rear suspension.
not locost related but you lot here know your stuff.
Im fititng an engine in the back of my renault turbo, i have used the front subframe of the same car in the back. So its mcpherson struts and a lower
wishbone.
This leaves me with the problem of the wheels turning as there is now steering rack at the rear. A friend told me i should aim to abtain 1-2 degrees
of toe in when the suspension compresses.
Is this true?

we just my mates zcars mini last night, we put 0.5 - 1 toe out on it as the wheels will toe in when you put the power down.
FREE THE ROADSTER ONE…!!

Follow the line from the middle of the damper through the pivots on the upright to the floor & determine your 'scrub radius'. If this
is near the middle of the tyre you should need very little 'toe'. If it's inboard then a little toe in would be indicated, depending
on the compliance of the joints.
Too much toe will wear out your tyres & knacker the wheel bearings.

Yes --- Quite a lot of toe-in otherwise you will visit the ditch a lot.
