Rear Harness Mounting Points
Sorry Guys ( & Girls ) I HAVE tried searching for this one.
I need to have my rear seat belt mounting points 70mm higher than the frame behind the seat. I dont want to put an additional tube between the roll
bar I would rather extend the mounting bolts.
Can this be done with longer bolts & spacer tubes or would I need to fabricate an extension to the frame and bolt to that?
Cheers

I would say 70mm is to much to just use loose spacers and bolts
but i may be wrong
i would fabricate to that height

I'd stick the bar in, or at least fabricate turrets to take the mounting bolts.
In a 25mph crash you'll suffer a 40G max deceleration load, or in other words your roughly 3.5Kg head alone will impart a force of 140Kg on your
mounting bolts.
Times that by the 3inch you wish to extend the bolt and your getting towards nearly 1/2 a Ton on 2 bolts. Whilst I don't wish you or anyone
else to have a crash, would you want to run that risk.
ATB Dan.
The less I worked, the more i liked it.
