I have now stripped apart my clutch, and when i was dissembling it from the engine, i come round to the last friction plate and it just fell to bits!!

No wonder my clutch was playing up.

Now i have the zx9r engine, can someone tell me how they rate the ebc heavy duty kit.

I was going to get an oem clutch but they are 110 and the ebc is only 65.

is it worth paying the extra or will the ebc do the job?

i also have just baught the barnett springs

What Steve said - the ebc seems cheaper but in our experience lasts less than half the time an oem on does so in the end the oem is better value.

Stretch your budget a little more and buy a Barnet clutch kit.
They are pretty much indestructible even with with turbos an NOS

It's been a while since my biking days but I recall Barnet clutches being a bunch of Arse, the baskets and springs were good though, of course, things may have changed over the past 3 or 4 years

I fitted a complete Barnet clutch in a mates TL1000 early last year.
The bike gets ridden hard, along with some huge wheelies, and the clutch has never shown any sign of slipping.

My barnett clutch plates delaminated and destroyed an OEM basket.

Rebuilt the clutch with all OEM and it was fine after that.

i know it's sort of irrelevent (can't spell) but rd350 boys swear by ebc clutch friction material and springs, worked spot on for me, only got 400 miles on r1 bec with barnet springs + OEM plates and that's all good too

never had a problem with ebc heavy duty plates ,,had them in both cars. ,just remember to soak them in oil the day before you fit them
