Im looking to build a double wishbon IRS on my Locost and was wondering if anyone had any data that i could compare with, im looking for:
1. Track width
2. Max bump and rebound height
3. Camber angle
and any other relevent data, cheers

Have you had a look at the Haynes Roadster book? That uses a Sierra based IRS and has complete details

The trackwidth will of course depend on the diff, the length of the driveshafts and the offset of the wheels. Using the Sierra bits you will probably be about 50mm further out each side than a Locost

The camber is adjustable witht he Haynes and most other systems, so can't be quoted as an exact number. 1 degree negative is a good starting point, but will depend on your ride height somewhat.

Max bump and rebound I don't know, but unless you go for quite soft springs, or heavy loads, or take hump back bridges at speed, you probably won't find those limits anyway

Hi

What exactly is it your looking for.
As a general guide. You will be wanting a camber adjustment range from 0 - 2 degs negative. For bump and rebound that will all be dependent upon how you place the damper within the desighn. Most dampers of a suitable length 13" minimum open length will have 3" of travel and the bump stop. Ideally you will want something like 1.5" bump / chassis ride height movement. And at least the same in rebound.

Track width. Well do some research on the cars that are well respected for there handling in competition. You will soon see that all the modern variants of the 7 type that have gone wider and wider just do not Handel well at all and have no nimbleness about them. look at early Westfields and early strikers Etc Etc.

Cheers Matt
