Anyone got any ideas for the best way to fit disc brakes onto an upright of a rear indpendant suspension? (double-wishbone), instead of drum brakes, cheers

Sierra hubs per chance? just buy a set of disks and callipers from said car.
If not you can buy a pair of adaptors to bolt callipers onto.
