Ok, so I was thinking of power unit for a rev trike - something like the 1.0 ecoboost but keep its gearbox.
Does "locking" one driveshaft output and fixing a chain and sprocket to the other (obvs it will need assistance to hold sprocket in place)
sound feasable ?
Cheers
Surley the planet gears in the diff won’t with stand that. Ones I’ve looked at don’t run in bearings.

Not sure of the practicalities on a fwd diff - but could you not weld up the diff?
I've not designed or built a trike myself so a quick question...
Do you intend your trike to be mid engine RWD?
If so is it not easier to use a motorbike engine that's surely already designed for this type of setup?
Another question, does a trike have to have a reverse gear?
