tank strap help needed

ive done this job back to front DOH!!!
made my tank straps out of 25mm x1.6mm strips
now i cant find a rubber cover to fit can find rubber suitable for 20mm and even 22mm but not 25mm
i really did want the flat channel with wrap around lips.
anybody know of a supplier.... please
tried the usual suspects cbs and seals+direct

trim the straps down with a flap wheel on a grinder? its only 3-5mm
will take seconds on 1.6mm steel. and if the lip wraps around, you won't see the edges if they're not completely straight

Use a few layers of heat shrink.

Just split the rubber down the middle and stick it to the strap. If using 20 mm rubber = 5 mm gap underneath

MG T-Type TD & TF (1940s & 50s) used very wide tank straps try this link

Cycle inner tube on mine (ones that had a puncture of course, keeping it locost...)..

I ussed an old cycle inner tube as well, on my home made tank
