oh.. and I'm swapping my current citroen saxo for a mint peugeot 205 1.9 gti..

So chuffed , good riddance to the kit I say!

Mr Whippy - 14/2/11 at 03:06 PM

yeah bikes are a lot of fun and far more fun than any car I have owned/driven/had a ride in

Just need to be sensable and take care

Looks good, maybe not a colour I'd have gone for but it does stand out well. I've just sprayed my bike in Ford purple so may not have room to talk

have fun

this bike is identical to mine and the picture that made me respray mine purple my most fun toy a yamaha virago xv535

I actually quite like the colour, Craig ("you know when you've been Tangoed" - is it running in the picture or is it a bit of localised fog?

Your kit's doing quite well on the bay, too.

Be careful on the bike or you may find yourself needing to accelerate your doctor training rapidly

Regards, Steve.

Here's my 900 Hornet as we are doing show and tell.

Miks15 - 14/2/11 at 04:34 PM

Is that a speed four craig?

Looks lovely, i have a TT600 (basically a faired version) and love it!

cd.thomson - 14/2/11 at 04:45 PM

some nice pieces of kit here boys! Love the big un little un in your picture big-vee-twin.

Yep its a speed four, cracking piece of kit from what I've been told/read. They come cheap because they compete with the speed triple I think. Picked this one up for £1800!

Miks15 - 14/2/11 at 04:57 PM

haha my tt600 cost me £1800, enjoy it

cossiebri - 14/2/11 at 05:03 PM

That's a cracking bike for the money, didn't realise you could so much for so little! Is that a 600?

Once the kit's gone, i'm (hopefully) going to get a sv650 (thank's to flak, must have looked at that post a hundred times!)
And possibly a golf vr6 for fun with the rest of the family

Love the triumph triples !

Heres one of my brothers Harleys - Big trumpets dont you think...

cd.thomson - 14/2/11 at 05:07 PM

yep its a 600 100bhp, tidy little thing - just need to get an antisocial exhaust on it now for the neighbours benefit..

I love the harleys! I've got this bike now to get some practice in.. my dad wants me to go with him across the states on a pair of cruisers. cant wait. The bikes plus the accent will have me fighting the girls off..

nick205 - 14/2/11 at 05:23 PM

Did the Dax sel in the end then Craig?

Personally I'd rather see your 205 than the bikes, but that's just me

Triples have a nice thump about them, If I was to buy a bike the sit up Ducatis (Mostro) or an old Moto Guzzi ...

My brother lives in Houston and does the Lone Star Rally every year in Galveston, well worth a look, it has been said girls also like to go there...

cd.thomson - 14/2/11 at 05:32 PM

not purchased the 205 yet mate, but got my eye on one. Do you actually have one at the minute?

I really want to produce a show worthy vehicle, but sorely tempted to fit a mi16 on TBs with omex management to modernise it a bit.. can't shake the feeling this is total blasphemy though. What do you think? Alternatively TBs with omex on the standard engine just to sort out the poor ECU issue, still not cool?

Yep, the car is going to sell at auction on ebay, currently stands me at £5600, not the greatest investment of my life but look back with rose tinted glasses: it was a reet laugh!

stevegough - 14/2/11 at 05:45 PM

Sorry, that's no girl in the fishnet!!

Miks15 - 14/2/11 at 05:48 PM

with regards to exhausts craig, look at the triumph carbon race can, got one on mine and the noise is just addictive!

Also has the bike got little cover things over where the grab rail usually is? If so any idea where they came from?

Been trying to find some for mine (at the minute just a hole ha) and havent been able to track any down.

Cheers

daviep - 14/2/11 at 05:49 PM

Ill check it out mate, thanks for the heads up.

I'll ask the seller where he got the covers from and pop you a u2u. If youve not heard from me in a week then give me a nudge

Yer definitely either a bike or a car person. None of those have inspired me the way of the 2 wheels!

I have a bare shell with a cage fitted that was my BILs, brother's rally car. Sat in a barn at the minute waiting until I have the time to tackle a RWD build with it.

IMHO if you pick up a minter it should stay that way. If you pick up something sound but tired and tatty then I'm all for a bit of refurbishment and careful modifying

Your right ! Wife wouldnt let me buy a bike incase I killed myself, so I have a 600kg 300bhp car instead.....

At least I have a few tubes around me when it goes Pete Tong.

As for the fishnet boiler, would look ok on Jeremy Kyle , but thats about it.

fazerruss - 14/2/11 at 08:08 PM

Well its nice to see other locosters have superb taste in their choice of bike manufacturer

Here is my baby...

daviep - 14/2/11 at 08:14 PM

I have "seat envy" now

fazerruss - 14/2/11 at 08:51 PM

Nice ey? I had it recoverd by a fella in Hudderfield. At the time it only cost 60 quid. It was my idea for the "ST" and now everybody is copying it!

ed1801 - 15/2/11 at 01:12 PM

Hmmm... my bike is a cat c, clapped out '98 fazer 600 with 50000 miles on it and worth about 50 quid. Still quicker than all but the most expensive cars, and superb for going to work on. It even manages 65ish mpg on the motorway....!

I get really frustrated driving the wife's car - I can't understand how she puts up with all the queueing traffic and following dawdlers the whole time. For my commute I reckon I save 10 minutes each way a day - a saving of about 3 and a half days of solid bumper to bumper queueing in a car per year!!!!!!!!!!!

However, I have been down the road once when someone pulled out on me, i braked too hard, skidded and fell off - that just wouldn't have happened in a car.

Dangle_kt - 15/2/11 at 04:54 PM

Speed triple is on the cards if I ever sell the kit.
