Has any one use this place ?

Hello All

Ordered some material fromMetals4u on the 11th of this month payed by card and received confirmation of my payment and then all went quiet.
I have now sent 2 very polite Emails and had no response.

Just looking to see if others have used them and what kind of service they have had? Is this the norm?

Yes i shall be phoning tomorrow but on there web site it does say it will be an answer phone and to Email if possible.

I just needed a small amount so they seemed like a good idea to give them a try.

Yea I've used them....

Fug usless Waers

I emailed them on a Tuesday asking delivery time for a couple of lengths of tubing
Emailed me back telling me 3 days.
I said that would be OK as I am returning to France the following Thursday.
That Friday mroning I telephoned them, Got their answer phone
So emailed them, asking if my delivery would be arriving that day or the following Monday.
Got a reply friday night telling me their offices were now closed
sent another email asking when my order would arrive, stating again that I need it before thursday evening.
Finaly got a reply back telling me an item was out of stock but will be dispatched Monday for delivery Tuesday.
Waited in all day Tuesday. No delivery
Sent another email and telephoned and left a message. No reply
waited in all day again Wednesday, still no delivery or reply to my emails
emailed them on Thursday morning telling them if the order has not been dispatched it is too late as I am leaving for France at 5:00pm.
Still no reply......

Friday arrived home safe and sound
Guess wot...........
Got a phone call on my mobile, saying I have 2 lengths of tubing for delivery to you...Where are you????

Its the not replying to my Emails ( after taking my money ) that really gets me.

Did you spend over £100 and pay by credit card?

If so, you're covered.

No only £30 odd
am i still covered ?
Will cost more in phone calls and time to chase it all up.

Not by the credit card company I'm afraid. I would try a few calls and emails.

Good luck. There can't be any excuse for bad service, esp when everyone is desperate for work!

But you cant reverse the payment... just have to speak to the relevant person at the card issuer.

hi, i used them for a 8*4 sheet of alu. and they were fairly good the day i brought the sheet on a saturaday night and payed for it, got an email monday say it was out of stock, they will get the sheet thrusday or firday, expected delivery monday or tuesday. so on monday an email through your sheet has been dispacthed. so i throught great i will be able to do my interior soon. it truned up wenesday. so they were a day out but not to bad expernice, as well i did not pay postage for the sheet.
