hi all,
Im running 2.ol zetec, with 135 bhp ford ecu with cbr600 bike carbs on my zetec, looking into megajolt, how much better is it, cannot find many
rolling road print outs to show suggested improvement, has anybody got back to back test, or figures from there rolling road tests. thanks andy
What ford ignition only ecu are you using
Or do you mean the edis or esc unit
So I take it your running the pre pats rs1800 spec ecu as ignition only.
As you have no real way to tell what the ecu is doing or not doing with the lack of inputs I would go stand alone. I think I would skip the megjolt
and go for a Nodiz due to the cost of edis 4 units. Its not like you can get a megajolt for £35 any more.
Or you could fuel inject using your ecu very locost
Get a latter Pats ecu and you can see all the engine parameters.
hi,
im running ford 2fbc ecu with ignition sencors wirred up, (tps, air & water temps &, crank). higher rev limit than old esc.
trying to find out how much better megajolt is, bhp gains against cost etc. (also can I do the pc work required).
Thanks
Andy
hi Wasa,
yeh running 1800 ecu we spoke about a year or so ago, its a lot smother than the esc I was using, you like your fuel injection don't you lol,
have photos etc of one that was at trackday this year, think that would be a partial rebuild of my kit, (swirl pot, extra pump, extra fuel line ??).
thanks for info, Nodiz not been out long, maps, realiability etc ??
rebuilding a Dutton with a zetec with my son that may go injection,(that's another story) pats ecu etc.
Andy
Yeh the return fuel line is a pain.
yeh, it is when car is few years old lol, i should think ahead lol.
is the latter ecu usable with my wirring, how can I tell what the engine is doing, is that with the obd readouts,

+1 for the Nodiz, have used one for 2 years , been faultless, very easy to set up, and lots of additional spec compared with a Mega jolt. Inc the ign drivers. They are also easy to speak with and Matt is very helpful . They are bring out a combined system for fuel and Ign. You may still be able to reg for a betta version.
Always nice to see great feedback on the Nodiz Pro - Cheers guys
The OEM map will not be very good on carbs - due to them expecting longer inlet runners - if you want simplicity the Nodiz is the answer, have plenty
of basemaps for Zetecs also Mapped hundreds of them now! hehe
