Reverse Reverse Trike
I used a reverse reverse trike as my daily transport for a year with a 60 mile round trip each day and it was a real pain!
Whats a reverse reverse trike?
Single driven wheel but at the front of course!
Handling was evil to say the least. both front corners were bashed in as it used to lift a rear wheel at the slightest provocation.
This amply demonstrated how all the roll resistance in a trike is all at the end with 2 wheels. In my case since the bike engine was in front of the
single driven front wheel and I was behind it there was little weight over the rear 2 wheels to counter the roll couple.
Great fun to drive. Bl00dy dangerous to drive. Must get another one!

I forgot to mention it was noisy I had to wear ear defenders.
In retrospect you are right it would have been a masochist's delight!
You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a

the original BEC reverse trike
When I was a teenager ,many years ago, I had a three wheeler called a Frisky. Two wheels at front and one rear driven by a villiers 197 engine fitted
with a dynastart electric starter which just started the engine in reverse giving me four speeds forward or reverse .
It had austin A35 brakes and would do great stoppy,s.
A bench seat meant three could sit in it.
It had suicide doors hinged at the rear.
I have never seen another one since, not even a picture.
Regards Denis.
Where did that go?
