Hayabusa shock
Just fitted gen 1 Hayabusa rear shock. Previous GSXR1100 only had preload adjustment. The bottom rebound screw moves freely, clicks to all ten
positions as marked. But the top compression screw barely moves. Any experts??

Hi Mike,
I'm posting this rather than replying to your U2U so it may possibly help others.
The adjuster screw on a lot of shocks (Hayabusas included) will tend to bind up if they are not turned from time to time. The threads and the seals
will bind if left long enough.
Fill the area around the screw with plus gas, WD40 or another penetrating oil and leave it to soak in. Place a good fitting screwdriver into the slot
and give it a light tap on the end with a SMALL hammer.
The screw should eventually work free.
How long since the shock was last used or adjusted?
HTH

Your awesome thanks Mike.
I have only fitted it today and if the previous owner was fortunate enough to get set up right it may not have been re adjusted for years.
I will do that.
Im away with the missus for a few days but will re post tuesday with an update.
Mike.

Update for you Mike. As standard the early Busa shock should have 22 clicks of adjustment on compression.
