I saw a similar job done on a Hayabusa, a Welsh firm called the Trike Shop in Cardiff does them. Can't see the point really, it gives you all the disadvantages of a bike like getting wet and you can't dodge the traffic like being in a car. Only thing is you don't need to put your foot down when you stop at the lights, real big plus that is.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i was more amazed that they went straight to the middle of the upper bone! maybe ok cos its assumedly so light, but on a heavier vehicle they would probably buckle.

So its like an open top sportscar then

A lot of the superbike trike conversions are for disabled riders, saw loads at the Bulldog bash last weekend.
Including a Triumph Rocket3 that was running sub 10s down the drag strip

Yep, most are nice jobs as well.
Only thing is the weight aint right for cornering. Engine well over the twin wheeled end is better for any three wheeler. Ask Richard Oakes (Blackjack Zero)

WTF?
And who is "Blackjack Zero" when he's not off slaying super heroes?

Yeah right.

That's why VW powered trikes handle so well (not). Is Lenny about anywhere? Richard Oakes' designs have the twin wheels at the front from what I can see and tend to use 2CV mechanicals.

Soooo, Blackjack Zero is a what and not a who. I like it.
Have you ever seen such wide based wishbones though! I think even a modest front impact would just about write the thing off.
Seems to be all VW engine, transmission, uprights and brakes.
