I've used these guys for CCTV kit for work and they have always been very good to deal with. They offer kits of bullet cameras you can hook up
to either a suitable video camera or PVR/ media player.

Give them a call always been v helpful.

I used to be a bullet camera fan (RF Concepts / DogCam etc.) but have you seen the quality of the latest 1080p HD camcorders!?!?!?!
It's broadcast quality... which leads me to say (and I never thought I would)... the best option for me if I were to make a purchase now would
be a mounted HD camcorder which records onto SD card. A remote microphone would help with the wind noise.

I've quite literally tested camera equipment on a Radical Clubsport to destruction. The Radical is the extreme situation and will break things
in just a couple of laps!. However even a relatively less harsh kit car will eventually break say a camcorder if used for long enough.
The system I used was simply a Sony DV camcorder in a rubber lined box connected to a Sony bullet camera. Still after a couple of seasons racing both
the camcorder and bullet camera have developed faults from the extreme conditions!
For sound I used a "Zorst" mic from Dogcamsport which basically only records very loud sounds and that worked very well.
Lap of Castle combe - Radical Clubsport
The car in front on that vid had an expensive Chasecam solid state recorder and hires Sony bullet camera but it constantly had problems.
I have used just the Sony DV camcorder and a remote mic on my Striker and that worked very well.
Dogcamsport, Rfconcepts and Fastfilms are the companies I've used in the past.

If you want the best take a look at this system. Multiple cameras, picture in picture, data overlay, track map etc. etc.
