JK composites

hey all, happy new year, lets all hope for a good one.

Just wanted to ask people opinions of JK composite seats as they are not as expensive as i first thought.
I have a 7 inspired car and used to have Cobra roadster 7 seats but got rid as they weren't to my likings.

Can anyone tell me how comfy these are and how much space they do actually require? i know they show measurements but its always different once you try dropping it in place.

Do you think pads are needed etc??

thanks in advance to all.

I've got the base mount as drivers and the standard seat as passenger. Happy enough with them and they fit fine in my Aries

That's the one that I have on the passenger side. The base mounted one has another moulding on the base holding 4 x M8 mountings so it's slightly higher.
I've got the foam pads on mine so I can't tell you what they would be like without.

Ah, looks like they changed them since I got mine. My passenger one hasn't got the additional moulding on the back and is fastened through the front lip and I made a moulded bracket for the rear to fasten to the bulkhead. Mine is consequently very low as the bum part of the seat is actually sat on the floor panel.
My base mount one is a bit higher because it has the full second moulding and is also sat on runners.

sounds like they should work for me.
I dont want it too high but as i not going to use runners i think i should be ok with them.
thanks for the help and info.

ps i think i will go for the race pads set as the others seem quite expensive.

I have got a pair of the JK Comp Seats (without the seat moulding). I bought the more expensive pads as a mate had the cheaper ones and didnt get on with them. The seats are great and very comfy for me (I did a >2000 mile trip in the summer and they were great.

That said, seats are a bit like shoes and may not be comfortable for everyone.

The chaps at JKC are very helpful and I am a very satisfied customer.

Ditto, have been mainly looking at the triton seats.
- But theres also the playskool seats (also apprently the same as the 'fredcarbon' seats on ebay)

Ideally you would sit in all of them and pick the most suited to you i guess. But lifes to short.

That said, i would like to sit in whatever i buy before buying it. Should have got organised and sat in some at stoneleigh!!

Dont know if theres anyone in the midlands (notts/leicester/stoke area) with any of the above seats? If you wouldnt mind me trying them out please PM me!

Thanks

Daniel
