Happy Days!

Well, I have had quite an afternoon!

I put my Fury away 3 years ago (been racing and no time!) and haven't used it since. Today I rolled her out into the sunshine, put new fuel in her, took the plugs out and cranked her over for a while to build some oil pressure. Blow torch on the plugs then in and low and behold, she fired first crank!

It was a little smokey at first but I put that down to the oil I put down the bores and the seapage through the oil stem seals. It is a pinto after all!

Even the turbo seemed to be spinning nicely!

Anyway, just need to get an MOT and some tax and I'll be blatting around again!

I think Stonleigh will be on the cards this year! Is it still free to get in if you show in a kit?

Who else is going up from Bedforshire?

As Bass1st said -- we are planning on going on the Monday (weather permitting).

Will pop over and take a peak at the Turbo'd Pinto when I get a chance - Still got to fix the broken wing stay - Having a nightmare with that

Carpmart, I think the last time I saw your car was Donnington 3 years ago. I thought you sold it. I'll be on the JPSC stand.

Entry is free in a kit but camping is £5 I think. The gate guys soon spot all the camping kit in your car.

1st, 2nd, 3rd May. Last chance to drown our sorrows collectively before polling day.

I shall be going up from Rushden for the entire weekend. Very early Saturday Morning.

Hi Adrian

I remember the chat!

I look forward to seeing your car!

I'm planning on coming up on the Sunday (subject to weather), can I park on the JPSC stand? I'm also with a mate in his Caterham, can he park there too?

Hi Tris

It was indeed me with the crane!

Give me a bell and we can discuss getting it back. I'm around this week but traveling next!

You will be most welcome to pop over!

Unfortunately I'm probably going on the Sunday unless the weather is terrible that day and perfect on the Monday!

It would have been nice to have convoyed up with you and Bass1st.

I think any JP cars welcome and there's often others/friends that park up other stuff as well. You might be encouraged to join but no high presure selling. Free tea/coffee plus BBQ in the evening (breakfast as well sometimes) for members at every show, plus other benifits, so worth the £10.

See you there. I'll be camping Sun/Mon.
