Difference in Size - Type 9 and MT75
Hi All,
May be a stupid question but.....
How much of a difference in size is there between the Ford Type 9 and MT75?
In particular are the bell-housings a similar size and shape.
Basically will a MT75 fit where a Type 9 used to be?
Thanks again for the advice!

kinda depends on the amount of space you had around the g/box in the first place. the mt75 is bigger all round
also if you have room in the tunnel for the pia donut youll also need a new prop and also the mt75 is heavier than the t9

Hi
Approximate dimensions for MT75 are as follows 650 mm from bell housing to prop flange
290mm deep on the main case with a width of 200 mm diameter of rear prop flange is roughly 180 mm bell housing pattern on 2.0 is the same as 1.6/2.0
pinto pattern and should be roughly the same diameter.
Hope this is of help if you need some more info email me paul@firstmotion.co.uk
