Running an r1 engine

Hi guys can you run an r1 engine without the clocks connected ??

Dont see why not. You definetly can with the ZX9.

Yes - the carb model (upto 2001) is very easy to run without the clocks. The injection model (2002 onwards) is harder without the clocks but it can, and has, been done.

Running without clocks?

Hi everyone,

Please could someone explain what the problem with running an injection R1 engine without its clocks is. I assume a 2003 engine would have this issue?

How can these engines be persuaded to run with no clocks?
