bizzare helicopter flying
Is there anyone else on here living around ripon,n.yorks who has noticed the army helicopter flying around the city in a large circle for the entire
d**n day,9 pm now and still it passes over my house about every 3 minutes.
was thinking of searching for morse code for bugger off and trying it with a torch!

Does Dishforth still have a gaggle of Apache helicopters? Could be playing "winged squaddy in an obscenely priced copter" in the style of
Top Gear?

good link! 9.25 and they appear to have headed east,but no lie they have been going round here the WHOLE day!
not sure if there is any active mod stuff at all at dishforth any more,i suspect some sort of training exercise from catterick.

must be some sort of excercise. usually get sea kings flying about the river for days on end, winching on and off frigates, that sort of thing. I
would imagine its some training thing

if they are flying a constant pattern then my first guess would have been a radar calibration session but wouldnt have expected that to go on for so
long

You ought to live here we had them flying around night and day for over 30 years. Thank goodness for the peace.

door).
