hi

i dont really mind what performance i just want a small project so i thought of an engine rebuild, and if all goes well put it in a car at a later date.

Keep an eye on eBay and you'll pick one up for <£100 suitable for a rebuild project. If you're planning on fitting it to a car in the future you may want to avoid engines from Transits (low compression IIRC). By the same token you might look (and pay slightly more) for a later injection spec engine (better inlet ports/more power IIRC). Parts are cheap and plentiful too.
