turbo/nos on bike engine

ive been looking into this for the future and looks like i could give myself a little extra power.
turbo kit would make it 300bhp
add nos on top of that and possible 400+bhp and a knackered engine?

Anyone done either of these.

I am just in the process of specing out the turbo system for my Busa. I am probably going with the Velocity racing kit . I like this setup because it uses water injection instead of an intercooler. Makes for a much easier install. What motor are you using? Here are a few links you may find useful

I have designed my turbo system totally from scratch using a mixture of ready made parts and some specially designed items. Within about two weeks should be up and running i will post all the info and results. Engine is a ZX9R. 400 BHP is a little high for a BEC's engine (slightly different stresses than in a bike) unless alot of money is thrown into the build in order to increase component strength. Water injection is a good aid to an intercooler, but using it to totally replace any other form of charge cooling is a bit risky, water injection systems have been known to fail (experience).

Have to agree on the water injection failure issue. I could just see me forget to fill up the tank!

Is your setup fuel injected or Carbs?

I trashed my carb set-up and designed and manufactured a intake manifold which holds the injection system, i went with a single throttle body as its far simpler to design and when turbo charging a single throttle is not so much of a handicap as when an engine is N/A. if packaging is a problem why not try charge cooling, could even borrow the system of a Toyota Celica, Just a thought. What turbo size and make are you intending to use.
