Introduction to Sprinting 1st June - FREE
At Curborough.
Hello All
As most of us on here have got cars that are very well suited to this sport, thought this may be of interest - certainly it should be
I'm a member of the club and did one of these days a few years ago and it was brilliant. Learnt loads and have been injoying my weekends doing
sprints (& the odd hillclimb) since. Certainly helped me, and can recommend it 100% to anybody who has even thought about giving speed events a
bash.
If the programme is still the same you get instruction initially in the instructors cars, and a couple of goes round the track in your own car (which
must be road legal) with an instructor alongside.
Just arrive from 10 am to 1pm, no need to pre-book.
Curborough is a couple of mile North East off the A38 (fradley park junction) just north of Lichfield.
See www.curborough.co.uk for more details of how to get there etc etc.

Highly recommended. I too did it a few years ago and scared the living daylights out of my "instructor" doing a powerslide right the way
around the top 180 degree bend!! Went a fair bit quicker than he did in his Robin Hood. Great fun!!

Completely agree Paul!!
I did it last year & really opened my eyes to sprinting. Having the instructor tank it around the tight track was thrilling yet very scary at the
same time, particular when he was taking us around in a V6 rover estate. Awesome driving really nice bunch of people that ran it as well.
I am certainly going to give sprinting a proper go this year.
I WILL get out again!!
I have a little bit......need more......

Been a few times, its VERY addictive
An excellent track as well for spectators, you can see nearly 100% of the track.
Might pop along to spectate/laugh/take the piss*

So where were you all ?
I came , I tried and I stayed on the track.
Second lap with the instructor as a passenger got me a "that was quick".
I don't know whether he was referring to me or my car , but I'm taking it as a compliment.
Good selection of cars to see and watch and a bit of entertainment and tuition for free, well worth going.
I'll even think about signing up

It caught a couple out when it got a bit slippy.
One poor lad went into the ditch with his MG Midget at about 10mph!, thats with the instructor on board
