Anyone had any problems getting them through an SVA?
Cheers
zxrlocost is putting them on mine (Carbon style ones)
he is using big old black ones for the sva though on 1st may. will soon be swopped over though
Many people have had problems. They are motorbike lights and have the wrong markings and don't dip correctly. Some people seem to have got away
with it in the past, but I suspect most stations are now up to speed on them.
It's come up many times, a quick search will find the threads. Steve @ sVc's posts are, ahem, illuminating (sorry couldn't
resist). Look for threads titled 4" headlights or 110mm headlights.
Be careful swapping to illegal lights post SVA, if you get involved with in a bump your insurance may be invalid if, for example, the other party
claims they were blinded by your lights and the police/insurance inspector checks.
I agree with the points made above. I checked my manual and there is nothing against the 4" headlamps themselves but very tight regs about lens, light spread, E marks etc. Comment re accidents/insurance may be very relevant too.
Absolutely no requirements for E marks on lights...
