After a bit of research I have gone for some Mintex M1144 pads (from Camskill, great service) for my Tiger - Sierra calipers, vented disks etc...

Just wondered if there was a procedure worth following to bed them in? Or better yet, peoples experience in using them.

Do I just fit and drive as normal, or carry out some hard stopping from various speeds? Any advice appreciated.

BEDDING IN THE “M” TYPE MATERIAL

M1144; M1155; M1166; M1177;

1. Clean discs with brake cleaner or other solvent.
2. 3/4 light applications 30mph down to 0mph.
M1144; 3. 6/7 steady applications 70mph down to 30mph.
M1155; 3. 8/9 steady applications 90mph down to 30mph.
M1166; 3. 9/10 steady applications 90mph down to 30mph.
M1177; 3. 9/10 steady applications 90mph down to 30mph.

4. Leave to cool as long as possible (They now work from cold)

DO NOT LEFT FOOT BRAKE
DO NOT LOCK-UP THE BRAKES

It looks like I will be heading out on a quiet Sunday morning!!

Key tobedding in brakes is not to over heat, definatly dont just stomp on them. Do you have new discs too? That will speed up the process hugely as bedding in 2 flat surfaces is much easier than bedding in one smooth and one uneven.
